Building a clean résumé PDF

Write the résumé in Markdown: use headings for Experience, Education and Skills, a bullet list for achievements, and bold for job titles and metrics. Markdown keeps you focused on wording instead of fighting a word processor's layout.

Paste it into the converter and check the preview. Headings, spacing and bullet alignment stay consistent, and you can tighten the wording until the page count feels right.

Print to PDF with A4 portrait — the standard for job applications. The output is real text, so applicant tracking systems can parse your name, roles and dates.

Why plain text beats a design tool here

Many résumé builders export images or multi-column layouts that applicant tracking systems struggle to read. A text-based, single-column PDF is parsed reliably, which is what gets you onto the shortlist.

Keeping the source in Markdown means the next application is a five-minute edit rather than a full re-layout — swap the summary, adjust a bullet, print again.

No account, no upload, no watermark. Your résumé stays on your device throughout.

Resume to PDF FAQ

+Will the PDF be readable by applicant tracking systems?

Yes. The PDF is generated from real text in a single column, which is the layout ATS software parses most reliably — unlike screenshot-style exports.

+Is my résumé uploaded?

No. Conversion and printing happen entirely in your browser; the file never leaves your device.

+How do I control spacing and page count?

Write compact Markdown and check the preview. Paper size and margins are adjustable in the print dialog, so you can balance whitespace against staying on one page.

+Can I include a photo or icons?

Remote images referenced in the Markdown are fetched by the browser and usually appear; relative local paths may be missing because there is no server. Most ATS-friendly résumés skip the photo anyway.
